Cannabis analysis submission made as easy as it can be

We’d love to have the entire COA process done completely through one platform. Unfortunately, between the license checks, the tracking systems, chain of custody and other logistics, it’s just not possible for us to get cannabis COAs issued in Minnesota through a couple clicks on our website.

But we’ve worked hard to make this process as smooth as it can be: transportation included in the package and easy order placement in Metrc.

All we need from you is a bit of information and a moment of your time to iron out the details. When you’re ready to schedule, reach out to us directly and someone on our team will be in touch.

To COA test your sample, we’ll need some info

As a cannabis business operating in Minnesota, you likely already have an account with Metrc.

But if you don’t, you’ll need one in order to get your sample tested. Metrc’s platform provides transparency and accountability to the legal cannabis industry by assigning unique RFID tags to every plant and package. This ensures that every step in the supply chain – from cultivation, harvesting and processing to transportation, testing and final sale – is meticulously recorded.

With your Metrc account and Minnesota cannabis license in hand, reach out to us directly. This’ll give us a chance to discuss the full scope of cannabis testing you need for your Minnesota certificate of analysis.

We’ve partnered with Green Haven Logistics, who’ll manage collection of your sample and delivery to our lab. To arrange that pickup, you’ll get a transportation email from Metrc once you schedule your analysis. Green Haven Logistics makes regular deliveries to PhytoLab, and everything’s tracked through Metrc – you’ll know when your sample changes hands from their transport team to our lab.

Standard transportation through Green Haven Logistics is included with our analytical testing. You’re still free to use an alternative courier, but please note that no discounts or credits will be issued for outside transportation services. And PhytoLab MN isn’t responsible for any delays caused by third-party couriers.

4 easy steps to get your sample tested

  1. You’ll contact us directly and we’ll figure out the sampling needs of this batch.

  2. Once we’ve determined the scope of this sample, we’ll send you a service agreement. We need your signature there and payment for our services.

We can’t test your batch without these, so getting them to us as quickly as possible really keeps things moving!

  3. Next, you’ll need to create the order with us in Metrc.

  4. Finally, you’ll get an email to schedule your sample’s pickup by our transportation partner. On the scheduled date, they’ll collect your sample and deliver it to us!

Tracking your sample’s progress

Metrc will keep you updated on the location of your product. While you won’t be able to see what tests we’re performing or any results until our laboratory manager has performed a final review and release, you’ll know it’s in our hands.

Once the analysis is complete, we’ll report the results. This includes releasing the document to the Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management, who will determine if the sample meets the state’s criteria for recreational use. We’ll also provide the results to you, and we’ll dispose of any remaining sample (which we’re required to do by law).
